Mason 8 Months! OMG

Another exciting month of big changes for the little guy.
The month started off with new changes right off the bat -
the first week of the month (shortly after I wrote the last
email) Mason started saying Mama mama mama over and over
and over again - and the next week dada dada dada over and
over and over again. We don't now if he actually knows what
he is saying, but he says both now. He has also learned
to sit up on his own and he is crawling - although not a
traditional crawl its more like a lazy boys crawl because
instead of crawling he just drags himself along the hardwood
floors. He knows how to crawl he just drags though.

The next big leap for Mason this month he did without either
Bryan or I even seeing - and we still haven't seen it. The
nanny, Adriana, told Bryan that when she went in to get Mason
after his nap he was standing up in his crib - OH NO.
That was the beginning of the end because from that point
forward the only thing Mason wants to do is stand or walk
while you hold his hands. He loves to stand up holding on
to the furniture and just this week he has figured out how
to pull himself up on the furniture. And when you hold his
hands as he walks, he gets so excited the whole time he can't
contain himself and just smiles and screams the whole time -
so funny. He is still taking to eating very good. He likes
everything except there is no doubt about it - he HATES
broccoli. It is the only thing he consistently makes a face
at when you put it in his mouth and we have tried over and
over again. Its a good thing taste buds change. He just
made the switch to his highchair too - which he just loves
(thanks Lea's). When we put him in there he hits his hands
on the tray which we still think is cute, but it is sure to
annoy us sometime soon. Mason experienced his first
Halloween and celebrated it with his Aunt Kristan and Uncle
Alex and helped us pass out candy (He seemed to enjoy the
kids in their costumes). We decided to forego the full
costume for him this year and wait until he could enjoy it
next year. Mason still showed his Halloween spirit
by wearing a pumpkin shirt and spooky socks to match.

And lastly...Mason is sprouting a tooth - at least one on
the bottom. You can definitely see one that has broken
through and I am almost certain there is another one too.

Enjoy the pics!

mason is quite possibly the cutest baby EVER... you should get him signed up for some baby modeling so he can start earning his keep... let's face it, times are tough, the economy's crap... time for him to 'man up' & pull his weight ;)
